The J-wing, a prominent building on the campus, underwent a major transformation with the construction of a 3,000-square-foot addition to the main entrance. This addition not only enhances the aesthetic appeal of the building but also provides much-needed space for various activities and events.
In addition to the new addition, a 4,000-square-foot area within the J-wing will also be renovated to create a more modern and functional space. This renovation will include the installation of 4 new HVAC units and ductwork to ensure optimal temperature control, as well as aluminum windows and a curtain wall system for added natural light and energy efficiency.
Other notable features of the renovation project include a new water main and sprinkler system for improved safety measures, an oversized aquarium to add a touch of nature to the space, a custom stepped seating area for comfortable seating arrangements, and an 11’ high operable glass wall system that will provide flexibility in room layouts and allow for easy access to outdoor spaces.
Overall, these changes to the J-wing not only enhance the overall look and functionality of the building but also creates a more welcoming and versatile space for students, faculty, and visitors alike.
